  Summary of memo writing (page 78)
  1.      Candidate C
  All three parts of the task are completed and it is the correct length. The language is accurate and appropriate except for one mistake. (hire instead of book/reserve)
  2.      Candidate B
  B completes two parts of the task but does not give location details. The note is too long. The writer includes unnecessary information (e.g. to discuss a contract with us). The language is generally accurate although the first sentence is long and wordy. The language is also inappropriate at times (e.g. cheers!).
  3.      Candidate A
  A completes one part of the task only and does not give dates or location details. The note is short. The style is inappropriate formal for a note (I am writing to inform you…etc.).
