信用证付款是我国对外贸易中常用的支付方式之一。信用证是银行应进口商的要求开给出口商的一种保证付款的凭证。

　　合同一旦签署，并且付款方式为信用证，应当催促进口商及时开出信用证。信用证一旦开出，进口商应当及时通知出口商。

　　此封信是进口商所写。进口商通知出口商，信用证已经申请开出，并告知信用证的主要内容。信函的内容包括银行的名称、金额、所需单据数量和名称、有效日期和地点等。

　　例信：通知开证 Advising Establishment of L/C

　　Dear Sirs,

　　We are writing to inform you that an irrevocable L/C N0.57284 in your favor has been opened with Bank of China,Shandong Branch for EUR 56,000 valid until January15,2006.You will receive the above L/C within a few days.

　　You have the authority to draw at sight on the opening bank for full invoice value after shipment.

　　The documents required for negotiation are:

　　（1）Commercial invoice in triplicate;

　　（2）Clean on board B/L in triplicate;

　　（3）Packing List in triplicate;

　　（4）Insurance Policy.

　　Please advise US by e-mail when the goods are shipped. Thank you for your cooperation.

　　1.open/issue/establish an irrevocable L/c with/through…bank 通过……银行开立不可撤销的信用证

　　2.in one's favor or in favor of…以……为受益人，以……为抬头

　　3.EUR:European Dollars欧元（还可表示为Euro）

　　4.valid:adj.有效的

　　同义词有firm,good和open等。

　　The offer is valid/firm/good/open for three days.

　　此报盘有效期为三天。

　　5.draw at sight on the opening bank:向开证行开立即期汇票

　　We have drawn on you at 30 days D/A for USD l5,000 through China Merchants Bank against your trial order.

　　对于你们的试订货，我们已通过招商银行向你方开出金额为l5000美元30天期承兑交单的'汇票。

　　6.negotiation: n.议付

　　其动词形式是negotiate.议付就是买人受益人的跟单汇票（附有提单等单证的汇票）。实施议付 的银行叫议付银行（negotiating bank）。

　　The L/C allows US only five days for negotiation of the documents. 信用证只允许我们有五天的时间议付单据。

　　7.commercial invoice:商业发票

　　商业发票是卖方向买方开立的售货证明，对该笔交易做出详细的叙述，是全套出口单据的核心单据。

　　8.clean on board B/L:清洁已装船提单

　　B/L:Bill of Ladin9提单。一般指海运提单，是承运人签发的承运货物的收据和持有者在目的 地提货的凭证，也是托运人与承运人之间的运输合同。

　　9.packing list:装箱单

　　装箱单是进口国海关验货、进口商核对货物的依据，表明装箱货物的名称、规格、数量、唛头、箱号、件数和重量以及包装情况。

　　10.insurance policy:保险单

　　例信译文：

　　敬启者：

　　现致函通知贵方，已通过中国银行山东分行开立了不可撤销的、以你方为受益人的、金额为56000欧元的信用证。该证2006年1月l5日在中国议付有效。贵方将在几天内收到该证。

　　请在装运后向开证行开立相当于发票金额的即期汇票。

　　议付需凭下列单据：

　　（1）商业发票一式三份；

　　（2）已装船清洁提单一式三份；

　　（3）装箱单一式三份；

　　（4）保险单。

　　货物装运后请即发邮件告知我方。
