陪伴
1. Ac#pany
正式的用法。指相伴和自己同辈的、同等地位身份的或比较熟悉的人去某个地方。
e.g. She went to Europe ac#panied by her colleague.
◎扩展记忆：ac#pany常用于被动语态中的~ sth （by/with sth）结构，意思是与某事物同时存在或发生。
e.g. fever ac#panied with delirium 发烧而说胡话
2. Associate
作为朋友、同伴、共事者而参与。
e.g. an associate judge 陪审法官
◎扩展记忆：知道准会员怎么说吗？……associate member，副教授呢？可不是vice-professor哦，而是associate professor^^
3. Attend
指陪伴的是长辈、上司或自己恭敬的人。
e.g. The Queen was attended by her ladies-in-waiting.
◎扩展记忆：attend的另一个常用义项：照顾，照料某人。
e.g.A nurse attends to his needs. 有个护士照顾他。
4. Conduct
侧重于陪同，但同时也有引导带领的意思。
e.g. I asked the attendant to conduct him to the door.
◎扩展记忆：~ oneself well, badly, etc 是比较书面的说法，用来形容一个人的行为表现如何。
e.g. conduct oneself honourably/with dignity/like a gentleman 行为光明磊落/端庄高尚/像正人君子
5. Escort
处于保护目的护送或出于礼节而陪伴同行。
e.g. May I escort you to the ball? 我可以陪你去参加舞会吗？
◎扩展记忆：escort当名词讲时意思为“进行护送的人﹑ 船﹑ 车辆等”
e.g. soldiers on escort duty 执行护送任务的士兵。
6. Chaperon
强调成年人对青年人的监督。
e.g. She is chaperoning her daughter all day.
◎扩展记忆：chaperon的名词形式是什么？……chaperonage！是“伴随”的意思哦~~
