used to
表示过去的习惯动作或状态，现在不复发生或存在，疑问式和否定式有两种形式。如：
He used to live in the suburb.他过去住在郊区。
Used you (Did you use) to go to work by bus? 你过去常坐公交车去上班吗？
need/dare
need 和 dare 既可用作情态动词，也可用作实义动词。用作情态动词时，主要用于否定句和疑问句；
用作实义动词时，可用于各种句式。
1) 用作情态动词。如：
Need I #e before 8 am? 我需要早上 8 点之前来吗？
You needn’t do your homework now. 你现在不必写作业。
She dare not go back home alone at night. 她晚上不敢一个人回家。
How dare you say that? 你怎么敢那样说话？
2) 用作实义动词。如：
You don’t need to #e early tomorrow. 你明天不必早来。
My bike needs repairing. 我的自行车需要修一下。
He did not dare to look at that dead snake. 他不敢看那条死蛇。
I dare say the enemy will attack again tonight. 我想敌人今晚会再进攻的。
